Today, in a world where it is really tough to keep and/or hire good people, we need a focus on company culture and making our team’s place of employment that much better and inviting. According to Warwick Business School, they find that “Human happiness has large and positive causal effects on productivity,” the team said. “Positive emotions appear to invigorate human beings, while negative emotions have the opposite effect.” Additionally, that “happier workers, our research found, were 12% more productive. Unhappier workers were 10% less productive.” Exterior Christmas decor does exactly that. Trees, wreaths, lights all make a more joyous place of employment and somewhere people can be proud to work.

If you’re a business owner reading this, you might think “How the heck can Christmas Decor impact my employee morale?” First, Christmas lights will spike dopamine, a feel-good hormone that produces happiness – improving office morale, employee efficiencies, as well as getting everyone (including your customer’s) in the spirit for the Holiday Season! Secondly, for most, we associate the twinkling lights with past childhood memories. For me, that was when my father would use a ladder from our roof to our tree to hang a giant homemade 5’ star on our biggest tree.
